What authenticity means
Built into the process
Authenticity is not added after the artwork has been completed. It begins with the original long-exposure photograph and remains present through every stage of the process.
The captured image is refined by hand through color, contrast and composition. No AI-generated imagery is used to create the artwork. The light recorded by the camera remains its foundation.
The finished artwork, original Polaroid and handwritten verse are intended to remain together as one complete work.

The physical trace
Why the Polaroid matters
The Polaroid is not a copy of the artwork. It is a physical trace of the moment that made the artwork possible.
Each Polaroid is an original instant photograph connected to the source moment, location, light or atmosphere behind the finished piece.
Because it exists as physical instant film, it carries its own unique marks, surface and variations. It cannot be recreated in exactly the same form.
The Polaroid accompanies the artwork to preserve a visible connection between the final image and the real moment from which it began.
