The person behind the image

I am interested in the parts of a moment that the eye cannot hold, but the camera can reveal.

DESRUC began with a fascination for movement, darkness and the way light changes when time is allowed to pass through a single frame.

Every artwork starts with a real photograph captured in the field. Long exposure allows several seconds or minutes to become one image, revealing forms and traces that did not exist to the naked eye.

The photograph is then refined by hand through color, contrast and composition. The original moment remains the foundation of the finished work.

Light becomes memory

The work is not generated from imagination alone. It begins with a real place, a real source of light and a real moment.

Time

Long exposure compresses movement into a single frame. Seconds become layers, and time leaves a visible trace.

Light

Light is treated as the material itself. Its direction, intensity and movement shape the image before any digital refinement begins.

Feeling

The finished work is shaped by the emotion of the moment, rather than by a need to reproduce the scene literally.

From moment to artwork

The process

Each piece moves through a deliberate process while keeping the original photograph at its core.

Capture

Long-exposure photography records movement in the field. Minutes of changing light are compressed into one frame, allowing the camera to see what the eye cannot hold.

Transform

The raw exposure is refined through color, contrast and composition, all shaped by hand. No AI generation and no automatic filters. The captured light remains the medium.

Pair

A real Polaroid preserves the source moment. A verse is written by hand to express the feeling behind the image, rather than simply describing what can be seen.

Release

One copy is released, framed or unframed. When the piece is collected, the digital file is retired permanently. The artwork will never be reproduced.

One of one

Existing only once

The value of the work is inseparable from its rarity. Every finished artwork has one physical edition. Once it has been collected, the source file is removed from future production.
